Greetings from Athens. I’ve always connected Wonder Woman with the goddess Athena, who was a protectress, but not a goddess of war, rather she was a goddess of wisdom. Ironically played by an Israeli. Hence the image for this post. Wisdom is a protectress.
I’m heading out of Athens tomorrow. It’s been a wild time in Greece. The title is my rendition of my destinations: Patras, Sparta, Argos, Corinth, Athens. Particularly Athens has been mind-blowing. But not in the typical way. More in the literal way. I’m not sure when I will be able to figure out how to describe what all has been happening here. Don’t worry, I am not getting into all kinds of crazy stuff. It’s more like I’m experiencing crazy mental states. Don’t worry about that either, though. I’m fine, in the grand scheme of things. I’ll just say that something is happening on this journey of profound spiritual power for me. Maybe one day I’ll be able to tell you about it. But for now, all I can say is that I am not sure what role the bicycle will play on the next leg of the journey. It’s not 100% decided, but the chance that the bicycle doesn’t come out of the box at the next stop is a real possibility. So with that in mind, I’ll just throw up the Strava routes of the Greek phase.
So that’s it. Just seven rides. The end of the European bike tour. Maybe the end of the whole bike tour, but we just don’t know. I’ll keep you posted.
שבת שלום.
