The house of a desert voice is not a physical house, but rather a notional dwelling for a desert wanderer to hold his noetic belongings. It is a “virtual hermitage” of sorts. The wanderer is me, Jonathan Bailey. In total, it is a public proclamation of my life as an avowed religious Christian. I pattern my way of life after John the Baptist and Paul of Thebes, simply wandering, yet having come to the point of publicly proclaiming the vows and rule that guide my life.
