Three Sevens

I am a laughingstock and a byword among the nations
My king watches silently as I am crushed under the boot of infernal machinations
An army of one can scarcely muster an angel to open a door
Bureaucrats mop me up off the floor
The Holy Land cannot muster seven thousand who have not bowed before Baal
I never thought the king would tell this tale

Nothing came with the wind
Nothing came with the earthquake
Nothing came with the fire
Nothing came with the whisper

No Dutch girl proffered a groan
There was no roan
I am a complete unknown
With no direction home
I stand alone

One against all seven billion of them
And no one cares
But Elijah sent his servant back seven times
And there was rain
